About the Union

Russian Union of Juice Producers (RSPS) was established in October, 5, 1999.

The supreme body is General Assembly of its members. The permanent working Body is the RSPS Board, which is lead by the president. During 9 years since the Union was established in 1999 the head of the Union was Valery D. Ostapets.

Today RSPS combines 23 enterprises operating on the Russian market of juice products and packaging.

During the period of 2002-2008 the volume of the Russian juice market grew up from 1480 mln liters to 3166 mln liters. RSPS provides all possible support for development of juice and beverage market.

Among numerous numbers of challenges the most significant objectives for the Union became:

• Providing its members with legal advice consultancy targeted first of all on a support of national juice producers
• Participation in elaboration and expertise of draft projects relating to juice production field
• Securing mutually beneficial cooperation between national and international institutions in an effort to develop Russian juice market
• Planning, managing and conducting research in the production and consumption of juices
• Ensuring of contacts between its members and developing of information exchange

One of the important guidelines is active participation in the working out and application of norms of juice industry: technical regulations and national standards. RSPS is one of the full members of TK- 93. RSPS is the initiator of establishment of subcommittee «Juices and Juice Products» in TK-93.

RSPS represents the interests of its members in the supervising and permissive authorities and in the other state bodies and associations: ASSAGROS (Association of Russian Agricultural Unions), TPP RF (Chamber of Commerce RF) and SUPR (Union of Consumer Market Members).

RSPS actively cooperates with international organizations. Since 2002 RSPS is a collective member of IFU (International Federation of Fruit Juice Producers), since 2004 is a member of AIJN (European Fruit Juice Association) as observer.

For the first time in Russia RSPS consolidated efforts of the leading operators of national juice market and targeted to the growth of juices and nectars consumption and promotion of healthy way of life.
